Reentry Employers to Consider
It is important to remember that how you present yourself at the interview will make the difference between getting a position versus not. Dress appropriately for the interview. These employers expect to be informed of your criminal history. If you do not report your past, when the criminal history is checked, you will either be denied the position or terminated.
Take the time to practice your interviewing skills before your interview. It is important that you are clear and concise when discussing your charges. Sharing too much information and too little information can be an interview red flag. Please talk to your caseworker if you need to update your interviewing skills. If you do not have a caseworker contact Virginia Works for assistance.

Please remember that though Marijuana has been decriminalized, employers are still doing drug tests. A positive result can lead to termination.
