VIRGINIA GED® TRANSCRIPTS & CERTIFICATES

How to request your GED records

In Virginia, GED transcripts and certificates are ordered online through the
GED Credentialing website. The cost is $15 per item. Choose the situation that fits you.

Since January 1, 2014, the Department of Education no longer provides transcripts and certificates directly. Order duplicate transcripts or official Virginia GED certificates (paper or digital) online through the GED Credentialing website.

If you tested after July 1, 1974, order duplicate transcripts or an official GED certificate issued from the District of Columbia through the GED Credentialing website. If you tested before July 1, 1974, records are handled by PROMETRIC (USAFI/GED transcript order form); there is a $30 fee per transcript, refunded if no records are found.
